Visit of the Defence Minister H.E. Mr. Jacques Ndolou in New Delhi ::
 

The Defence Minister of the Republic of Congo H.E. General Jacques Yvon Ndolou arrived with his delegation to New Delhi on the 25 th February 2007 at 11:15pm by Air France flight no. AF147 at the Indira Gandhi International Airport. His delegation comprised of Col. Paul Victor Moigny: Director General of the strategic affairs and of the Military cooperation, Col. Commissioner Germain Akindou- Ickonga, Director General of the equipments, Col. Barthelemy Ngayaba, Administrative Counselor and Judicial of the National Defence Ministry, Col. Cyrillr Ehini, Commander of the School of Armed Forces Congolese, Col. Boniface Bouka: Attaché of Defense near the Ambassador of Congo in China, and Captain Silver Ngoka- Ayeba: Aide de camp of the National Defense Minister. The Delegation was received by the officials of the Consulate of the Republic of Congo in India and the protocol division of the Defence Ministry of the Government of India. The delegation had a stay in the Ashoka Hotel in New Delhi.

On the 26 th Feb at 10:30 H.E. Mr. Jacques Yvon Ndolou with his delegation had a meeting with his counterpart Mr. A.K. Antony the Honorable Defence Minister of India. During the meeting both the ministers spoke about the development of the trade between the two countries and also promised to aide each other in the fields of different requirements. During the day, the Hony. Consul Mr. Rohtas Goel with his other officials of the Consulate of the republic of Congo, hosted a lunch at the Oberoi's in the honour of his Excellency. On the same day at 3:30pm the delegation had a meeting with the Chief of Army staff of India General J.J. Singh in the South Block, Defence Minister of the Govt. of India. At night the delegation attended a dinner cocktail party given by the Honorable Defence Minister of India in the Honour of H.E. General Jacques Yvon Ndolou and his delegation.

In the morning of the 27 th Feb the delegation departed for Agar by road at 7:00 am. They reached Agra at 11:00am and made a visit to the famous historical monument the Taj Mahal. They had their lunch in the Taj view hotel which was arranged by the Air force staff of India. They also made a visit to an historical museum and departed for Delhi the same day.

On the 28 th Feb the delegations had a meeting with Mahindra Motors for the discussion of the purchase of the Military Vehicles for the army of the Republic of Congo. After the meeting the delegation went for site seeing and made a visit to a few shopping malls in Delhi. They had their lunch in The Ashoka hotel and Departed for Mumbai at 5:45 pm with the officials of the Consulate of the Republic of Congo and the liaison Officer of the Defence Ministry of the Govt. of India.

At the Mumbai Airport the delegation was received and hosted by the officials of Indian Navy. They had a stay in the Hilton Hotel in Mumbai.

Early morning of the 1 st March, the delegation departed for Pune by road at 7:00am. They reached Pune at 11:00am and made a visit to the National Defence Academy of India. H.E General Jacques Yvon Ndolou with his delegation was received by the Air marshal T.S. Randhawa, VM at the NDA. They also hosted a lunch at the officer's mess of the NDA in the honour of the Minister. The exchange of mementos took place.

After the lunch the delegation made a visit to the Armed Forces medical College situated in Pune and discussed points of mutual cooperation. In the evening the delegation departed for Mumbai.

On the 2 nd March the delegation had a meeting with TATA motors and visited their show room. They had a discussion for purchase of Military Vehicles and some Commercial Buses with the TATA motors. The delegation was given a lunch by the TATA motors in the hotel the Jewl of India. They also made a visit to a computer showroom in Mumbai to view the latest technology available in India. After the meetings the delegation was taken for some shopping.

Early morning of the 3 rd March, at 7:30 am the delegation was taken for a boat ride on the famous Marine Drive in Mumbai. The scenic beauty of the ride was worth seeing. The delegation again had a meeting with Mahindra International for catalogs and presentation of the products offered by Mahinrda Motors and Mahindra International. After the meeting the delegation went for shopping in Mumbai. They departed for Delhi at 6:30 pm and went straight to the IGI Airport in Delhi to take they flight AF 148 for Paris. The delegation was bid farewell by the officials of the Consulate and the Defence Ministry of India.
